I’m on the road to earning my MFA at an art school with my emphasis being Print, Paper, and Book. However, I don’t like to pigeon-hole myself into that label. I love printmaking, mix-media, book-making, digital work, and occasionally collage. I blame this mostly on boredom, but usually tell others I like to experiment instead (Teachers tend to respect that more than the boredom response). My goals for the next two years are to push my limits on what I can do with scale, layering of media, strengthening my use of narrative, and being able to communicate this all to my audience in presentations and in written form. This blog will follow that progression. Process is a very important aspect to my art, so I like to invite others to see the stages my work takes from start to finish.
