The store is on temporary hiatus. All the old prints’ listing expired and the new products won’t be available until summer (cross fingers). I want to break out of just selling prints there, even though that would be nice, but I realize that not everyone goes to Etsy with the idea of buying art prints. I plan on making mini-sketchbooks/journals, cards, decals, and whatever else with artwork on it. Print reproductions will also be available and I’ll price the very old prints cheaper than before. I want to clean house. I’m making the big move in August. The less I have the better.
Next week, I’m touring one of my grad schools. Very excited and nervous. I started to get anxious about being in school again and wondered if I’ll measure up. It’s stupid to think so, being accepted in and all, but I tend to get that way. I admire too many other people’s work and think so negatively when it comes to my own. Must push on.
I plan on taking some sight-seeing photos while I’m there. If I’m lucky, I’ll get to tour an art museum/gallery or two. It’s kind of one of those trips though where the driving takes up the majority of the time, so not very likely. One can wish however.
In other news:
*I’m *this* close to finishing “Friendly Fire,” but due to technological difficulties, it’s been delayed. I posted the most recent photo in the previous post for those interested.
*My printer suffered a serious paper jam– hence tech problems above. It’s so serious I’ll actually have to take the hard body apart so I can access whether I’m able to get the paper out. Blah.
*Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. The Office is new today! Hurrah!
*”Tandem” will one day be printed. I keep putting it off. I did color a suitable version of it in photoshop. I need to experiment in brushes, but it’s fun to see how the colors will intermingle:
This was still the not-so-anatomically correct image; I never got around to rescanning the corrections. It’ll look right when I get the actual silkscreen done.
*I’m kind of getting sick of making images all candied-colored. It’s too much work to make it appear right. Next few pieces are going to be 2-3 colors tops!
*I keep tagging new links for everyone to check out. The most recent are posted in the side bar. Give those sites some love!
The next few posts I’ll show photos from the trip, hopefully finished shots of “Friendly Fire”(with a fun little story), and some in-progress art.
Later,
Megan
